Cottage Bread Mix - Multigrain Dark

This all-in mix for multigrain bread is suitable for making either in the breadmaker or by hand.

This bread mix is very easy to prepare, you only need to add lukewarm water to the mix.

The Multigrain Dark mix is available in 1 kg and 2,5 kg packages.

 
Preparation method
  • Mix the recommended quantity of water and the bread mix.
  • Knead for approx. 20 minutes until you get a sturdy dough.
  • Let the dough rise under some cling film in a warm place for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Shape the dough as required and let it rise for about another 40 minutes in the baking form.
  • Bake the bread for approx. 35 to 40 minutes in an oven preheated to 230ºC
400 grams mix - 260 ml water
500 grams mix - 325 ml water
600 grams mix - 390 ml water
Tips
  • Add extra water if the dough still seems dry after approx. 5 minutes' mixing.
  • After baking, lay the bread on a wire rack and let it cool.
  • In order to stop the bread drying out, it is best to store it in a closed bag. Do not store home-baked bread in the fridge.
